DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, August 11th\, make a trip to Shade Mountain Winery & Vineyards in Middleburg for another installment of our Walk through the Vines! This time we have something special for you…..SUNFLOWERS!! We will walk you through our vineyard as it enters near harvest phase…. ending up in our “secret vineyard” where you will find a beautiful sunflower field! Feel free to enjoy the flowers as a reward for your “walking efforts!” Take some photos when you get there….and take flower home with you! \nWe will have a pathway clearly marked for you….so follow the arrows through the vines. A SMW logo glass is included in the price of the ticket ($8.00) as is a glass of your favorite SMW wine. Feel free to enjoy the glass of wine as you walk….or enjoy it when you return to the winery. The winery opens at noon so you may begin your walk at that time.  We highly recommend you start the walk by 3:00pm so you can get back to the winery in plenty of time to enjoy a glass of wine. \nAs another “treat” we will be offering BOTH adult Root Beer & Orange Creamsicle Floats….as well as non-alcoholic Root Beer & Orange Creamsicle Floats….something for adults and kiddos alike! \nTo fill your stomachs after your walk\, we will have SNACK BOXES crafted by Jenny Miller of Tried & True Catering by Aunt Jenny’s Kitchen for you to purchase ONLINE in advance of the day! Each box is $15 and serves 1-2 people.
