DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, April 3rd our winery in Middleburg will host the fabulous Reba Rohrer (former Middleburg Art Teaching legend;) in her first Wine & Art class! She has put together a fantastic project which she terms “Block Design (see example below).” Registrants for the class must come prepared with words\, or a phrase they’d like to use in their design. Reba aptly chose the words “Chardonnay\, Merlot and Rose” and repeated them until her blocks ran out! She will provide all supplies and instruction…..the winery will provide you with a glass of wine to get the creative juices flowing!\nThe cost of the class is $35/person. Again Included in the class are instruction/supplies and the glass of wine. It commences promptly at 1:00pm and should take 2 hours until completion. DESCRIPTION:Stop by the winery for our another of our Sunday Fundays!! Due to the ongoing challenging times\, we are keeping our entertainment off the deck and into the vines again this season. We will be keeping you on the deck\, however\, as our seating for this event will be from above! So you can listen to the tunes of the talented Bret Alexander as you are perched from deck\, all the while enjoying the vineyard views.\nFor this event because of limited seating capacity (due to COVID19 restrictions)\, we are requiring patrons to call the Winery and reserve tables in advance of the performance (570-837-3644). Patrons can reserve tables for a 2-hour time frame beginning at 12:00pm (12:00-2:00pm)\, and then again at 2:15pm (2:15-4:15pm). We will clean and sanitize per CDC guidelines.\nAs stated before Bret Alexander will perform from 1:00-3:30pm (which will include a small break). We will have The Mad Griller Food Truck on-hand offering an assortment of delectable dishes that can be consumed on-site or for take out. So feel free to fill your stomachs while enjoying the performance\, or take food with you to enjoy at home!\nGrab your friends and head on over to the winery….we will have wine chilling and ready for purchase! We will also have wine flights available\, where you can select your own 5 wine samples for $10.\nTHIS EVENT IS WEATHER PERMITTING. In the event of rain/storms\, we will have to cancel. Maggie has secured a prime outdoor location behind The English Garden\, and will take care of your mind\, body and soul on Saturday\, May 22nd starting at 9:30am. Forget about the worries of the world for an hour as embrace this outdoor space. Upon conclusion of the class\, continuing the relaxation process in another manner-venture to Shade Mountain Winery (across the street) for a complimentary glass of any wine your heart desires! Light refreshments will also be available.\n“Retail therapy” will also be made available at The English Garden\, as not only does your ticket include a glass of wine\, but also a discount on purchases made at The English Garden on that day.\nThe cost of this event for this event is $35 and includes-Yoga instruction\, glass of wine/light refreshments at SMW in Riverside and a discount on purchases made at The English Garden (on that day). DESCRIPTION:Now more than ever\, we are all looking for serenity and solace after such a tumultuous year. To provide respite and rejuvenation\, we are teaming up with Johanna Kodlick\, of Lizard Toes Yoga\, to offer a morning of YOGA in the VINES-a benefit class whereby proceeds will go to our local Healthcare workers that have given/sacrificed so much while battling the COVID19 pandemic.\n\nSpecifically\, proceeds from this class will go directly to the following two funds:\n1.) Evangelical Community Hospital’s COVID-19 Emergency Fund\n2.) Geisinger Hospital’s COVID-19 Relief Effort\nJohanna will be working her magic behind the winery where is plenty of green\, safe space! The class will start at 10:30 and finish up at11:30am. PLEASE CHECK IN AT THE WINERY PRIOR TO 10:30AM.  Upon conclusion of the class\, continuing the relaxation process in another manner-venture up to the Winery for a complimentary glass of any wine your heart desires and light refreshments.\nThe cost of this event for this event is $15 and includes-Yoga instruction\, glass of wine/light refreshments at SMW. For our healthcare workers\, we offering the class at a discounted rate-$10. There will be a waiver to sign prior to the class\, so please look forward to completing it and returning before the class commences!\n\nWe want you to know how much we value all you’ve done in the name of humanity this past year. SUMMARY:Columbia-Montour Holiday Wine Trail Event
DESCRIPTION:Kick off the holiday season in style this year with a journey through the wineries of Columbia & Montour Counties! This December 4 – 13\, visit six participating wineries and enjoy special holiday features for a chance to win wine-filled prize baskets.\nPLUS\, new this season to the wine trail – get a free souvenir wine tumbler glass at your first winery stop (while supplies last). Each participating winery will have tumbler glasses available for the first 50 wine trail starters – if your first stop has already run out\, you’ll have a chance to see if one of the other stops still has them available!  The tumblers have lids and can be used to grab WINE TO GO!  We will be offering heated Grinch Grog by the glass\, so make that your TOGO wine;)\n\nFrom Friday\, December 4th through Sunday\, December 13th\, trail-goers can travel from winery to winery\, checking out seasonal wine features. Along the way\, participants will be able to get their tickets stamped at each location. Visit each participating location and you’ll be entered to win winery gift baskets and one Grand Prize basket! The Grand Prize basket will be compiled with bottles of wine from each participating winery. Please note that while trail tickets are FREE\, tasting fees may apply at several of the wineries.  TASTINGS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AT OUR LOCATION.\n\nThe wineries participating in the Holiday Wine Trail are:\nCardinal Hollow Winery at Winding Creek Shops – Benton\nColonel Ricketts Hard Cider Winery – Benton\nJuniata Valley Winery at Nature’s Outdoors – Benton\nKulpmont Winery Outlet at the Ol’ Country Barn – Benton\nRed Shale Ridge Vineyards – Danville Outlet\nShade Mountain Winery & Vineyard – Riverside/Danville Outlet\n**NOTE** The trail can be completed during each winery’s normal business hours. Please call ahead or visit individual wineries’ websites for individual hours of operation or to inquire about COVID guidelines.\nHow it Works:\n1. If you are interested in participating in the Holiday Wine Trail\, simply proceed to one of the wineries of your choosing during the posted event dates (you may start at whichever one you’d like).\n2. Pick up a FREE event ticket at the first winery you visit – all will have tickets available. Also collect your free wine tumbler glass if the winery still has some available (if not\, you may try at your next stop).\n3. Fill out 1/2 of the ticket and turn it in at the first winery. Keep the other half to record stamps/signatures.\n4.  Have your ticket authorized in the assigned space for that particular winery.\n5. Proceed to the rest of the wineries during their normal business hours and enjoy delectable wines + get more stamps/autographs!\n6. At your final winery stop\, turn in your completed second half of the ticket to be entered to win any of the prize baskets. All participants who complete every stop on the trail will have a chance to win any of the individual winery baskets and the Grand Prize basket regardless of where they turn in their ticket.
