DESCRIPTION:Join SCK Glassworks at Shade Mountain Winery in Middleburg\, PA on Saturday\, January 31\, at 10 am for a creative and fun-filled workshop where you’ll design your very own fused glass heart ornament! In this hands-on session\, participants will work with fusible glass pieces to create a beautiful suncatcher decoration.\nEach participant will begin with a clear heart base roughly 4.5″ by 4″ and use a variety of glass pieces to decorate and personalize their heart. Skye from SCK Glassworks will guide you through the process\, offering tips on creating visually striking patterns and ensuring your design will fuse beautifully in the kiln. The workshop is beginner-friendly\, so no previous glassworking experience is required—just bring your creativity and enthusiasm!\nOnce completed\, your heart will be fired in the kiln\, and finished with a hanger and ribbon. You will be able to pick it up at Shade Mountain Winery within 2 weeks (just in time for Valentine’s Day). This workshop is a perfect opportunity to unwind\, express your artistic side\, and create a unique piece of art to brighten your home or give as a thoughtful Valentine’s Day gift.\nThe class is $36 per person and you can register HERE. Take some photos of you and your friends in the vines and flowers! Be sure to take a sunflower home with you!\nWe will have a pathway clearly marked for you….so follow the arrows through the vines. A SMW logo glass is included in the price of the ticket ($10.00) as is a glass of your favorite SMW wine. Feel free to enjoy the glass of wine as you walk….or enjoy it when you return to the winery. The winery opens at noon so you may begin your walk at that time. The Team at The Olde Loft (Richard Road\, Middleburg) have taken on the craft of candle making and are looking forward to imparting their expertise on to you!\nOn Sunday\, July 27th enjoy their “garden” themed candle crafting class here at the winery by working through organized stations: 1.) scent bar/station that includes some of herbal\, berry and floral seasonal scents 2.) a vessel prep station 3.) a wax dispensing station and finally 4.) a pour station where your candles will be set.\nTo add to the “garden” theme\, local farm Flower Farm on the Hill\, will be here with their Bloom Bar! Pick and choose from their beautiful\, stemmed flowers to craft a lovely bouquet to bring home with you! Build your own bloom bouquet per your floral and financial liking;)! They will be accepting payment on that day!\nThe cost of the candle class is $35 and includes instruction and supplies (specially a terra cotta candle vessel\, capped off with a trendy bamboo lid adorned with “The Olde Loft” logo).\nBe sure to stop at the bar and grab a tasting flight\, a glass or a bottle of wine to enjoy while you work (not included in the price of the ticket)! Thereafter\, the talented Beth Stark RDN\, LDN of Beth Stark Nutrition will provide nourishment for your mind\, body and soul with a high protein Greek yogurt/Cottage cheese bar! Also included in the afternoon of pampering is a warm weather SM wine cocktail to assist you in the “un-wine-ing;)” process.\nCost of the class is $30 and includes all the aforementioned activities/food/wine. *Yoga blankets and blocks will be available for use\, but participants must bring their own mat.* The yoga & protein bar will take place outside amongst the vines and in a beautiful pavilion behind the winery (weather-permitting).
